Hi Filipe,

I only now came across your article through a twitter post and have passed it on to some 'Good Germans' who do not believe they fall into this category but they certainly do! Perhaps your article can serve as a 'wake up call' - nothing has worked yet though and blinders remain intact. This attack on the fundamental principle of the Nuremberg Code was clear as day for anyone who has a basic understanding of what happened during the Holocaust - and many of the world politicians even now are still repeating these blatant lies regarding the 'unvaccinated'.

Do you know if any medical establishment was willing to help the little boy in need of a heart transplant that featured in your piece? Do you know if he was saved, or was he sacrificed to appease all the 'Good Citizens'?

So much has changed regarding health policies in the last few months since you wrote this piece it creates the façade that we have almost returned to 'normal'. However, the curtain has been pulled back to reveal that the 'Good Citizen' in 2022, devoid of any true understanding of science, compassion or humanity, is no different than the 'Good German' of 1939. Sadly, I have discovered that I know many of them. It is the case that we go through life having friends and acquaintances, and it is always easy to discuss a historical period together and claim 'of course' you all would have been 'on the right side of history' - after all who would claim they would have sided with the Nazi's today? What few realize is that the vast majority during these times were not on the 'right side of history', and if you find your views typically align with the 'majority' in society then likely you also would have participated directly or indirectly in the atrocities. It is only those whose moral convictions supersede their need to 'fit in' to society who are able to resist these forces, and this is a rare trait. The curtain has now lifted and the great 'reveal' has occurred. We now know who the 'Landmesser's' within our societies and circles of 'friends' are. Once seen it can never be unseen.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_Landmesser#/media/File:August-Landmesser-Almanya-1936.jpg

I will always be civil to those incapable of recognizing their own weakness, those willing to 'go along' with these measures, but I will never see them in the same light again or ever trust them.

Thank you for writing this piece, I hope it helps a few realize before it is too late.

The light of God is in all people. It is even in the worst of us if they haven’t totally closed themselves off from truth. We can stay hopeful that they will choose to be more powerful than the dark forces that bind them.

they HAVE closed themselves off from truth. They are unable to make any good choices. It doesn't occur to them to use their own wits for anything. Harmful automata.

no, like every time before, a small group of us will survive. Get ready to survive. As Max Igan said, we need to get to where we can go into the forest with a pocket knife and a piece of rope and know that we can survive.

Thank you for writing such a great piece!

For me it was Honor Badges. That was the first thing I keyed in on after reading NPR's April 3, 2020 story on masks. It raised every hair on my neck for its reference to masks being "honor badges."

https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/04/03/826996154/coronavirus-faqs-is-a-homemade-mask-effective-and-whats-the-best-way-to-wear-one

(Towards the end, under "do masks confer any other benefits)

Being a student of the history of WWII and the Holocaust those words meant something different to me than most. The yellow star Jews were forced to wear in Germany were adopted as a "badge of honor" by well-meaning Jews.

https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/wear-it-with-pride

April 3, 2020. The moment I realized the path ahead was a path to the past. And began trying to warn friends, family, colleagues, anyone who would listen. But few wanted to hear. Which then became when I knew who Good Germans were. And that Herman Goering was right when he said what happened in Germany could happen anywhere if enough fear was applied, even in the US.

Masks raised fear. They were described as "fear amplification" behavioral science-based epidemiology, because we all collectively suffered from "optimism bias." Which needed to be treated...so that we would obey authorities. Masks were a symbol, a signal that invisible disease was everywhere and we needed to be fearful of it. Tyranny always rides in on the back of fear. Fear that began with masks.

Doctors who knew better went along, all in positions of authority who knew better went along. And all that's happened since, including unsafe an ineffective jabs, denial of care, the anger directed at the disobedient flowed from masks. When I was banging drums early on, and even to this day, most all continue to say and believe masks were not their hill to die on. Masks were The Hill to die on. They represented the moment fear overtook the better part of the world. The moment our optimism lost and fear won. Sold as "honor badges." Divisive symbols.

I've had another observation about the human experience these past three years. Do you remember being in class as a child when there was that kid, every class had that kid, who always asked lots of questions. When everyone else just wanted the time to pass so when the bell rang they could get back to doing what kids really wanted to do. Especially the questions right before the bell rang. Or that kid bothered to correct what the teacher wrote on the board, all the other kid's eyes in the class would roll. There were always friends or the cutie needing to be met in the hall between classes and that darned nerd kid was dragging it out. Anyone else remember those moments in school?

That's why we become Good Germans. Just be quiet, don't ask questions, do what's asked, even if it's wrong, and the class will be over quickly and we can get back to doing what we really want to be doing. And anyone who doesn't get with the program is super-annoying, has no friends and deserves it when the class bully picks on them, because all feel annoyed, too.

Sames. Same human dynamic on display since 2020. Don't ask questions. It doesn't matter if you're right and authorities are wrong. Just do what you're told and we can all get back to doing what we really want to be doing quicker.

They couldn't have been more wrong. Good Germans. They'd make good Germans. Our own friends, family, colleagues, neighbors made good Germans. That's what made Good Germans in the first place.

Full disclosure: Sometimes I was that kid. Sometimes I was super-annoyed at that kid. We are all capable of being a Good German. That's what makes it so hard to stop when it's set in motion.

"We are all capable of being a Good German. "

THIS is the key. The self-awareness to keep our OWN biases in check and to work at challenging authority when asked to think, say or do something that clearly goes against our principles.

I've always been a rebel at heart. I've always identified with the underdog and have been bullied many times in my life. But honestly, I've also experienced times when i could have spoken up and didn't. I went along or distanced myself altogether so as not to risk my own self-interest.

Human beings are hard-wired to be social and seek protection as members of a group. However, when the group takes a wrong turn, or goes mad, the onus is still upon us to at least state our truth and defend the vulnerable. Of course, it's not always as clear as that. But we must learn to think for ourselves or we're doomed as a species to forever experience horrific cultural upheaval and mass atrocities.

I was even scolded by my Jewish friends for making this comparison. It is their unique experience - and for me to compare it to 1930's & 40's Germany - offends them.

But I also think (because I do deep dives - this is a beautiful deep dive, Filipe, thank you!) they are not aware of just how bad it got. If it didn't touch them, they didn't "see" it. They took the shots, and didn't notice what was being done to the rest of us.

I appreciate your article. What I’m most concerned about is the next fake pandemic. 2020 was a dry one in a social experiment to see how far they can push us and groom us. My neighbors and about half the population believe they were right in shaming us and would send us to the ghetto for fear of a virus. Frightening! We need to educate educate and not forget what happened during Covid shutdown.

I've read this again after reading it last year. It remains a phenomenal read and a critical study in understanding how supposedly good people are coerced to do bad things.

It really should be turned into a book to ensure historians understand these times, and hopefully reduce the chance of repeating them.

Brilliant writing. 👏 Thankyou. My own faith in society, in culture, in a rule based world lies now in ashes. Human nature is indeed varied, I've now seen the worst of the Booboeoise, my own pig ignorant, smug, useless class, its eagerness to believe utter bullshit, to gobble it up like wine. Good Australians indeed... I'll never, ever trust them again.

Sad fact of society at the moment is the endless deliberate attacks upon traditional social norms, mores and institutional structures maintaining stability. Values Systems once uniting the social fabric have been challenged extensively and people have failed to cling to past traditions carrying ancestors through previous crisis. Endless chaos has resulted with diminished abilities and desire to absorb knowledge with a prioritizing of basic safety and survival goals manifesting.

This report is vital information as it is a warning to all based in relatively recent history. Have downloaded this and will share it across contacts. Should have received much wider distribution. Thank-you for this report.

It frightens me too that standards that have been in place for hundreds and thousands of years are being subverted for not a new normal, but a new abnormal. So sad that families, and children will suffer.

In the last four years almost everyone in the "developed nations" became "a good German". Just following orders, checking each other's papers, doing it for the greater good.

There is a young girl, not yet a teenager, in New England/NYC area (vague on purpose) who cannot be on the heart transplant list unless she’s vaccinated, including for Covid. She’s never received any and has always had a religious exemption. If her parents choose to litigate, she will die during the long process. The coercion is unbelievable.
